All-on-4 – Dallas, TX
A Modern Way to Replace Missing Teeth
It’s easy to assume that all dental implant procedures are the same, but the fact of the matter is that the way the posts are inserted can make a significant difference. The All-on-4 procedure allows Dr. Tunnell to replace an entire row of missing teeth with only a small number of dental implants and – in certain cases – can even make bone grafting unnecessary! Give us a call today to learn more about the benefits of All-on-4.

How Do All-on-4 Implants Work?
The dental implants will be surgically inserted into your jaw and allowed to fuse with the surrounding bone. A full denture can be secured to these posts, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with a full set of replacement teeth that won’t slip at awkward moments.
All-on-4 involves four dental implants that are inserted into the jaw in carefully chosen spots at specific angles. In particular, the posterior implants need to be placed at 45 degrees; this way, they can join with the parts of the jaw where the bone density is higher.
Am I a Candidate for All-on-4 Implants?
You are likely eligible for All-on-4 if you are missing a full row of teeth, have a healthy mouth, are able to undergo minor surgery, and have good oral hygiene habits. Also, thanks to the way the dental implants will be placed, you are less likely to need bone grafting to qualify for the procedure even if you have lower bone density in your jaw. Our team can help you figure out whether you’re a candidate for All-on-4 if you visit us for a consultation.
Benefits of All-on-4 Implants
- Stability: With your new teeth attached to dental implants, you never have to worry about them slipping when you don’t want them to.
- Natural Look and Feel: Once dental implants finish bonding with your jaw and have been topped with a personalized restoration, they will feel natural in your mouth and have a lifelike appearance.
- Jawbone Preservation: The stimulation from dental implants will put a stop to bone loss in your jaw.
- More Varied Diet: You’ll be able to eat all kinds of foods without issue thanks to the strength of your dental implants.
All-On-4 vs. Traditional Implants
It’s important to take note of the key differences that help distinguish All-on-4 from traditional dental implant procedures.
- Where six to eight implant posts might normally be needed, All-on-4 only requires four to replace a full row of teeth.
- All-on-4 makes it less likely that bone grafting will have to be part of your treatment plan.
- With traditional dental implants, you may have to go without teeth for a while. Meanwhile, with All-on-4, you can often receive your dental implants and a denture on the same day.
